HelloCues started with a simple belief: the best routines are the simplest.
Taking care of yourself shouldn't feel overwhelming. Yet for many people, grooming can be confusing. With endless products, conflicting advice, and complicated routines, it's hard to know where to start.
We believe there should be a better way.
That's why we created HelloCues: to make everyday grooming feel simple, approachable, and intentional. We thoughtfully craft our products with the unique needs of Black men in mind while creating routines that anyone can enjoy. Whether you're caring for your beard, building a skincare routine, or simply trying to be more consistent, we're here to make self-care feel a little easier.
Because confidence isn't built overnight. It's built through the small routines you return to every day.
Sweeping floors in the barbershop and watching my mom care for her clients taught me the importance of creating spaces where people feel seen and valued.
Meet Our Founder, John Bell
Hi, I'm John.
Long before I started HelloCues, I was surrounded by people who helped others feel their best. My uncle owned a barbershop, and my mom was a salon owner. Growing up, I watched people come in for a haircut or style, but they always left with something more: a little more confidence.
That stayed with me.
As I got older, I realized that grooming often felt more complicated than it needed to be, especially for Black men, who were often left piecing together advice, experimenting with products that weren't made with us in mind, or figuring things out through trial and error.
I started HelloCues to create the kind of brand I wish had existed. One built on thoughtful products, simple routines, and practical guidance that helps make self-care feel approachable instead of overwhelming. While our products are crafted with the unique needs of Black men in mind, our mission has always been bigger than that. We want everyone to feel more confident in the routines that help them look and feel their best.
